ABOUT FULL COLOUR 3D PRINTING

Full colour 3D printing is made possible using the Mimaki 3D printer, which is capable of printing in over 10 million colours.

With a build resolution as low as 20 microns, prints offer excellent detail, surface finish and vibrant colour.

Prints are built in a resin which offers a strength comparable to ABS. The use of a water soluble support also makes this process ideal for printing intricate models as no manual support removal is required.

We regularly use this technology to print bespoke figurines and characters.

Parts can be printed up to 500mm x 500mm x 300mm.

Prints can be used for anything from one off prototypes through to low volume manufacturing.

WHEN TO USE  FULL COLOUR 3D PRINTING

All prints are created in robust rigid resin, which provides a smooth surface finish.

This makes full colour 3D printed parts ideal for a range of  applications such as:

Functional Full Colour Prototypes

Educational 3D Models

Figurines or Characters

Unlike single colour 3D printing, full colours 3D prints should be supplied in the .VRML or .3MF file format.

If you do not have a full colour 3D file, do get in touch as this is something we can create for you.
